Job Opening: Road and Bridge Administrator

The Baca County Commissioners are looking for highly motivated individual to fill the Deputy County Administrator/Road & Bridge Administrator position in the Baca County Commissioners’ office. The Deputy County Administrator/Road & Bridge Administrator reports to and assists the County Administrator in the day-to-day operations of the County. As the Road & Bridge Administrator, this position processes reports for the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) regarding mine operations, as well as annual mine reports to the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety. This position is also responsible for processing purchase orders for payment and completing reports for operations for the Baca Area Transportation. The ideal candidate would have a good knowledge of computers, good customer relation skills, and able to multi-task; a bookkeeping or accounting background would be a plus. This is a full-time position that includes vacation and sick leave, medical insurance, and retirement benefits. The successful candidate should have a high school diploma; experience working with the public is desirable; and should be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Salary will be dependent on experience.
