WIC is The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children. WIC does not ask or keep information about visa status or citizenship. All responses are kept confidential. WIC gives you resources, knowledge and tools to help you and support your family. It’s free for moms, dads, grandparents, foster parents and all Colorado families who qualify. Whether you’re pregnant, already a mom or raising a child younger than the age of 5, you can get the right personalized support for you and your family. WIC’s goal is to help keep pregnant and breastfeeding women and children younger than the age of 5 healthy. Appointments can be scheduled by contacting BCPHA at 719-523-6621.

Community Services Block Grant (CSBG)

The Baca County CSBG Programs are available to all eligible Baca County Residents regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or sexual orientation. The CSBG Program  has been awarded to Baca County for the purpose of assisting our residents with Vision, Dental/Dentures, Prescription Medications, Mobility Equipment, Hearing Aids, Other;  is anything that you might need for medical necessities that your insurance does not cover or if you have no insurance,  Grant amount up to  $400.00 if you qualify. Qualifications are measured by the Colorado DOLA and is subject to change. Currently it is 200% of the FPL this applies to all services provided using the CSBG funding, including CSBG-CARES act funds.

BCPHA Health Check Clinics

Baca County Public Health Agency is offering Health Check clinics for our community. These clinics consist of Cholesterol checks, blood pressure checks, blood sugar level, and general vital stats. These clinics are offered to anyone interested at no cost. Baca County Public Health Agency is here to assist and educate the community on health and wellness.

AAA Chore Services Program

Through a grant provided by the Lower Arkansas Valley Area Agency on Aging (LAVAAA), Baca County Public Health Agency can provide a AAA Chore Services Program to eligible 60+ Baca County community members. Call 719-523-6621 if you are interested in receiving more information or would like to schedule an appointment to fill-out an assessment application.

CIIS (Colorado Immunization Information System)

Baca County Public Health Agency uses the Colorado Immunization Information System (CIIS) for recording and updating of patient immunizations. This is a confidential computerized population-based system that collects immunization data of all persons born, residing in or receiving immunizations in the state of Colorado.
